I3E paper on Collaborative Human-AI Decision Making
01/09/21
We presented our paper on “Data-driven Collaborative Human-AI Decision Making” (by Katerina Lepenioti, Alexandros Bousdekis, Dimitris Apostolou and Gregoris Mentzas) in the 20th IFIP Conference e-Business, e-Services, and e-Society I3E2021.
In the paper we address two limitations of existing approaches in prescriptive analytics: the lack of a transparent integration between predictive and prescriptive analytics; and the incorporation of human knowledge and experience within the decision-making process. We develop a framework that integrates data-driven predictions and the decision-making process by taking account human experience using interactive reinforcement learning algorithms and provide a concrete approach for data-driven human-AI collaboration.
Work carried out within the COALA project within ICCS.
