Prof. Mentzas in panel on Education and Society

IMU Director Prof. Gregoris Mentzas participated in the ACG150 event on "The role of Education in a Developing Economy" which was under the auspices of SEV, the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises.
The event included a stimulating panel discussion which delved into issues like the need for autonomy in Greece’s Universities, the impact that curiosity driven research has in the society, the need for faculty assessment and the way to disseminate research and put ideas to market .
The discussion highlighted the imperative for increased cooperation among academic institutions as well as between universities and the business community.
