Join us on May 27th 2025 at the Data Week workshop on trustworthyAI: “Sisyphus’ Code: The Ongoing Quest for Trustworthy AI”
As AI systems become increasingly embedded in our daily lives, ensuring their trustworthiness is no longer optional—it’s essential. From transparency and accountability to robustness and fairness, trustworthyAI safeguards fundamental rights, fosters public confidence, and ensures innovation benefits everyone. But trust isn’t automatic—it must be built through ethical design, inclusive dialogue, and sound policy.
That’s why we’re organizing the workshop “Sisyphus’ Code: The Ongoing Quest for Trustworthy AI” at DATA WEEK 2025. This session provides a forum to explore the intersection of AI, ethics, and policy, bringing together voices from academia, industry, and government.
We’ll tackle key challenges such as aligning AI with human values, mitigating algorithmic bias, and fostering inclusive governance. With a focus on real-world applications, the workshop will promote actionable strategies and highlight the need for interdisciplinary collaboration and public engagement.
Join us as we move the conversation forward and learn about national, European and international initiatives and projects like the Confiance.ai, the European Trustworthy AI Foundation, KI.NRW , Future-AI, THEMIS 5.0, PHAWM, etc.
Speakers: Gefion Thuermer, Nicolas Rebierre, Nikolaos Tachos, Maximilian Poretschkin, Dimitris Apostolou.
Workshop organized within etami of BDVA – Big Data Value Association.
