Yiannis Verginadis

Research and Innovation Manager

Yiannis Verginadis is an Assistant Professor in Management Information Systems in the Department of Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and a senior researcher at the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS). He has more than 15 years of experience in ICT projects in several research areas such as: management of information systems, workflow management, complex event processing, cloud computing and cloud security. He holds Diploma and Doctoral degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. His PhD was on Inter-organizational Workflow Management Systems in e-Government use cases. He has worked as an adjunct lecturer in the department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the University of Thessaly and as an adjunct lecturer in the Technological Educational Institute of Kalamata. Dr. Verginadis has (co-)authored one book on Information Management Systems and contributed in three others on e-Participation, adaptive web services and ambient assisted living systems. He has served as co-chair or member of more than 25 review committees in journals and conferences and he has published more than 60 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
